Ugandan police have on Monday April 29th, arrested musician-turned-politician Robert Kyaggulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the Kyadondo East MP was arrested for holding unauthorized street protests back in July 2018.
His lawyer, Asuman Basalirwa confirmed that the MP will be held for three days despite him honoring a sermon to appear before CID headquarters in Kibuli.
“Bobi Wine has been brought to Naggalama Police Station, and put in a cell. They removed his shoes and money he had was given to me, we are waiting to see what will follow,” Basalirwa, said.
Mr. Wine, from Tuesday to Saturday last week was under a house arrest after police had disrupted his highly publicized Easter Concert.
