“My name is missing from the purported register of voters by IEBC. I wish to confirm that I have never applied to be transferred as a voter and neither did I receive any notification of changes to my registration details as required by regulation 10 of the Elections (Registration of voters) Regulations 2012,” a voter complained to court.

The High Court in Nairobi has afforded a smile on ODM party after it ruled in their favor that the Elections body furnish them with updated Kibra voter register before going to the ballot tomorrow Thursday Nov 7th.

The Daily Nation Reported that Justice John Makau ordered the defiant IEBC to release the document less personal data to ODM.

However, IEBC has asked for seven days to be able to affect the ruling what pushes the electoral body in a quagmire just hours away to the exercise.

Through their lawyer Jackson Awele, the party is reported to have petitioned the court to order the electoral commission to publish the Kibra Constituency voters’ register containing the names, national ID, telephone numbers and the respective polling stations and centers in all polling stations and in the public online portal.

This is after several electorates had complained of their missing details in the register earlier provided by the IEBC.
