“As Ford-K, we had 800 agents in Kibra and they all confirmed to us that they voted but we were shocked to find out our candidate got only 260 votes only. We are wondering where did the votes go, were we rigged out?” Wamwalwa divulged in an interview.

Upto 800 agents hired by Ford Kenya party in the just concluded by-elections did not vote for their candidate. Details now emerge.

Given that their party hired many agents but only managed to get a paltry 260 votes has left party’s top brass including party leader Mosses Wetang’ula reeling in shock.

Their candidate, Khamisi Butichi, emerged fourth with a only 260 votes after bragging on all major TV shows on how he had Kibra at his fingertips.

According to Kiminini MP Chris Wamawalwa, their party is now interrogating the results to determine if there was a possible foul play.

“As Ford-K, we had 800 agents in Kibra and they all confirmed to us that they voted but we were shocked to find out our candidate got only 260 votes only. We are wondering where did the votes go, were we rigged out?” Wamwalwa divulged in an interview.

Trying to sugarcoat the matter and apportion blame to ODM, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa’s sentiments that some of the agents were harassed and kept out of the polling stations backfired badly when Wamalwa himself confirmed their agents voted and were never harassed or prevented to vote in any way.

On his part, Suna East MP, Junet Mohamed, laughed off the story wondering where on earth will a serious politician depend on agents’ votes to win an election saying they do not always vote because they are hired for a specific duty with their loyalty elsewhere.
