“When we returned in the evening, Thursday, we looked for Njeri everywhere, but we did not find her. On Friday morning, a neighbour knocked on our door and told us that our daughter’s body was lying at the main gate,” the father narrated.

A teenager aged 17 years old was arrested by police on Friday Nov 29th after stabbing 10 times a 16 year old girl before he dumped her body at her parents’ home.

Valarie Njeri from Mirera Naivasha lost her life in the hands of the boy on love related issues according to sources.

The girl’s father, John Nduno, claimed that his daughter was attending to the family shop while he had traveled with his wife for a funeral within Laikipia but when they returned on Thursday evening they could not see her

“When we returned in the evening, Thursday, we looked for Njeri everywhere, but we did not find her. On Friday morning, a neighbour knocked on our door and told us that our daughter’s body was lying at the main gate,” the father narrated.

OCPD, Samuel Waweru, confirmed that the suspect committed the crime at his home after luring her, hid the body under the bed and finally dumped it at the girl’s parents’ house on Friday morning.

Njeri’s body was first discovered by neighbours who were shocked to see the naked body at the parents’ doorstep.

The suspect’s mother admitted that her son’s behaviour had turned for the worse but was shocked at the turn of events.

“Since my son joined Form Three, his behaviour changed drastically; he became rude. However, I couldn’t imagine that he would commit such a crime,” the mother told journalists.

It is not clear what transpired between the two teenagers before the killing happened but it is alleged that the suspect defiled her before stabbing her to death.

Njeri’s body is currently lying at Naivasha Hospital Mortuary.
