“In accordance with Standing Order 86 as read together with Article 179, 181 and 182 of the Constitution and Section 33 of the County Governments Act 2012, this assembly resolves to remove the deputy governor on the following grounds (listed above),” read the motion received by the assembly’s clerk on December 3.

No none-sense Kiambu Deputy Governor James Nyoro may face impeachment any time.

Nyoro has found himself between a rock and a hard place after a motion was filed in the assembly to send him home.

The DG had assumed all the powers after his boss Ferdinand Waititu was barred by courts from accessing his workplace afew months ago.

Assembly members claim that the words he uttered on Friday, November 22nd, made the main basis for his impeachment. That he could not work with the embattled Governor Ferdinand Waititu.

According to the motion seen by jihami.com, other grounds given for his impeachment included gross violation of the law by assuming the office of the governor and mental incapacity to perform the duties of a deputy governor.

The said motion was sponsored by Witeithie MCA Julius Taki who was one time arrested by police for having DP Ruto’s graffiti on his car.
