Will Kakamega host Churchill Show on sh 2 million budget?

“We have a calendar for shows that we follow and before a show commences or is approved, we usually send our sales and marketing team to look for sponsors,” he disclosed.

Kakamega County could be preparing to part with a whopping sh 2 million budget to host the popular comedian Churchill Ndambuki of the Churchill show.

Though details remain scanty, People Daily was the first to publish this report on Jan 29th reporting that the area county assembly had already done the approval of the executive request for the funds.

The publication also mentioned in its story how sh 15 million proposal had been approved to put up a governor’s residence, another sh 15 million for purchase of his official car and another sh 12 million for remodeling his offices.

The daily intimated how the sh 44 million was reached at after a long battle between the budget appropriation committee and the County Treasury and that this budget had surpassed what was supposed to be spend in 2019/20 budget by sh 14.9 million.

Churchill show top member Jasper Muthoni aka MC Jesse confirmed their plans to stage the first ever show in Kakamega town but said the die had not been cast; changes could still be made.

He added that it is not easy to hold any show anywhere without sponsorship.
