Daring boys risk lives to rescue drowning passengers in Nakuru.

“It’s God that has saved them. If they hit the bridge railing they could die, they are lucky they plunged into the water and the rescuers came very fast,” one noted.

A occurrence was witnessed in Nakuru County at Malewa River after young divers rescued drowning passengers who car had plunged into the river.

The car which is said to have had four passengers on board veered off the bridge and went into the river putting four lives at risk.

Immediately, area residents came by to help save the lives with local divers swimming into the river to help. They managed to take one after another until the four were all saved from death.

Thousands of locals who were looking from a distance, louded the young boys for their bravery in saving lives

As this went on, there was a traffic snurl-up along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway at Malewa River due to the incidence.

According to sources, the river which in notorious of flooding whenever there is a downpour connects Nakuru town to Gilgil.
