Finally Hon Raila Odinga entered Parliament building to view the body of the Retired President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi.
The opposition chief on Monday Feb 10th arrived at around noon alongside his family members who included wife Idah Odinga and son Raila Junior.
The man from Bondo, was wearing a black suit, a cowboy hat and his signature black fly whisk deviating from the expectation by many that he would appear wearing his traditional regalia.
And when he arrived at the body, he is reported to have pulled out his white cowboy hat, gave it to wife Idah then raised his fly whisker without opening his mouth and waved it in the air total of six times then bowed down.
After the process, Odinga took back his hat in silence, wore it and left as he was followed by his family members who together then met Moi’s family for their last respect, at parliament building.
According to the Daily Active, The former premier, wife and son Junior were received by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, and Riongai MP Reymond Moi all who are sons ogf the late president.
In his eulogy, Odinga termed Moi as humorous and cheerful leader who did a lot for this country and out.
“Mzee was a freedom fighter,” the former Prime Minister. He and my late father, were among the team of first Africans to be elected in the Legislative Council of Kenya (LegCo) way back in 1957.” Capital FM quoted Odinga.
Moi died while Odinga and his new friend President Uhuru Kenyatta were out of the country for an official duty.
