“I receive the salary of a deputy president and I will continue checking on roads, water and even schools. I have not done anybody’s work and therefore, let everybody do their work, and let’s respect each other,” said the DP.

Deputy President William Ruto has answered back his Boss President Uhuru Kenyatta over launch of projects in the country.

Addressing in a Sunday Feb 2nd Kisii tour where he had gone for a church function, Dr. Ruto said he is serving in the capacity of the Deputy President and that he must discharge his duties as the deputy president and therefore he will continue inspecting and launching country’s projects.

He seemed to ask for respect saying everybody should stick to his lane and that he had not strayed in discharging his duties as the second in command.

“I receive the salary of a deputy president and I will continue checking on roads, water and even schools. I have not done anybody’s work and therefore, let everybody do their work, and let’s respect each other,” the DP said.

This was seen as an open rejoinder to what Mr. Kenyatta had said while on a Central Kenya tour last Friday 31st that he could nolonger trust the people he has been sending on the ground for projects.

Ruto further who is the Jubilee’s deputy party leader also confronted the BBI politics saying it should not be used as a stepping stone for the failed politicians to rise to power.

He advised that every Kenyan should be allowed to contribute his or her mind on the matter which affects every citizen.
