“The findings of the relevant decisions were notified to the concerned individuals today,” FIFA posted on Tuesday 4 January, 2020.

Four Kenya Premier League players have been banned for four years due to match fixing.

Kakamega Homeboys’ Moses Chikati and Festus Okiring alongoside midfielder Festo Omukoto(joined Western Stima from Kakamega) have officially been victimized.

Even as that happened, midfielder George Mandela has finally been banned for life for the same offense he committed last years 2019.

It was last year in January when the angry Kakamega Homeboys Chairman Cleophas Shimanyula sacked Ugandan coach Paul Nkata alongside his Ugandan assistant Hamza Kalanzi and midfielder George Mandela over match fixing claims saying he had enough evidence against them.

In the FIFA ban announced today Feb 5th, the players mentioned above are now officially out of game starting this month February.

“The formal disciplinary proceedings against the aforementioned individuals stemmed from an investigation into various matches from the Kenyan Premier League in 2019. This investigation was conducted by FIFA through its Integrity Department with the consent of and in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders and authorities.

“The findings of the relevant decisions were notified to the concerned individuals today,” FIFA posted on Tuesday 4 January, 2020.

Mandela, among the rest, suffered a huge blow after an overwhelming evidence against him proved, among the players, he played a central role in the whole bans  saga.
