Embattled Deputy President William Ruto has written a letter to Inspector General Hillary Mutyambai asking him to take action against any one of his officers found culpable in under dealings.

On Wednesday Feb 19th, Ruto asked Mutyambai to conduct a thorough investigations in his office to unearth the truth.

This is after Kenyans had wondered why the DP started by protesting against any investigation in his office over the claims instead of waiting for investigations to conclude. A case of getting priorities upside down.

In the Wednesday letter which Jihami.com has had a look at, Ruto outlined a raft of requirements to be met by the police boss over the ongoing investigations into the illegal 39 billion arms deal which touched on his Harambee House Annex offices.

Ruto’s latest move follows the Feb 13th arrest of former Spots CS Rashid Echesa who has since been freed on a sh 1 million cash bail.

“Any officer in our establishment who will be found culpable should be arraigned in court the soonest possible,” partly read the statement from the DP.

The DP also want the Department of Immigration to provide information on the foreign victims who were involved in the saga saying all those who accessed his office to seal illegal deals must be apprehended soonest possible.

“It is also critical that the investigations be extended to the Immigration Department to provide information on the type of visa issued to the alleged foreigners who were working with the alleged criminals in our country,” the statement read. “Urgently take the necessary action and keep this office informed,” it concluded.

Echesa had yesterday told journalist in an exclusive NTV interview that he does not require an appointment to walk into DPs office.

“The deputy president is my friend. We’ve been friends for a very long time. I don’t even need an appointment to see the DP,” Echesa affirmed.

Charges leveled against Mr. Echesa indicated that he presented himself as the DPs personal assistant so as to con Stanley and Mamdouh Mostafa Lofty billions of money.

Already CCTV clips retrieved from Ruto’s Harambee offices confirmed that his two aides were present in the controversial meeting which took place in his office on Feb 13th when they were meeting officials from Echo Advanced Technology Company.
