“Senators how say you?” Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., the presiding officer, asked shortly after 4 p.m. from the Senate floor. “Is the respondent, Donald John Trump, president of the United States guilty or not guilty?”

US president Donald Trump can breathe a sigh of relief after the senate on Wednesday Feb 5th finally acquitted him of any wrong doing.

A highly divided upper house which has been debating on the presidents impeachment for five months and another two weeks of trial found no serious offence against Mr. trump especially his dealing with the Ukraine government.

According to The NewYork Times, Trump had been accused of abuse of office and obstruction of Congress in order to win presidential elections. However, his impeachment has therefore been brought to a sudden stop.

The senate was to hit the two thirds threshold to finally send the 45th president packing what they couldn’t hence handing Trump a smooth return to the White House.

The voting however openly displayed loyalty to party lines where the Democrats voted Guilty and the rival Republicans voting ‘Not Guilty’.

It was however reported that only one Republican Senator Mitt Romney from Utah who wanted Trump out of power.

This turn of events made the third attempt in the history of America to try to impeach and also acquit a sitting president.

“Senators how say you?” Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., the presiding officer, asked shortly after 4 p.m. from the Senate floor. “Is the respondent, Donald John Trump, president of the United States guilty or not guilty?”

In a clean and unquestionable voting pattern, the senators who were sitted on their wooden chairs stood one after another with either ‘Guilty’ or ‘Not Guilty to each charge. Donald’s Not Guilty team won the day.
