Hamptons Hospital has expanded its wings to Senegal at the cost of US $ 6 billion in the ongoing Akon City being developed in the country.

Hamptons hospital has become the main anchor project being developed in Senegal by Senegalese American superstar Akon.

This was confirmed by the popular US based musician and producer through an announcement after finalising the agreement. Senegal President Macky Sall also endorsed the mega project according to Akon communication office.

The hospital main West African headquarters will be based at Akon City which is less than an hour drive South of Dakar International Airport. According to Hamptons African Kenyan based ambassador Hon Munzala Parkin, the hospital will have 1,800 bed capacity and is estimated to be complete in 2023.

The facility will serve patients in Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast, Ghana and Nigeria who have been frequenting India for special treatment.

Hamptons lead investor Julius Mwale said that an American engineering firm KE International and Dubai architectural firm Bakri and Associates Development Consultants will design and construct the entire complex.

Further, KE International also designed and awarded Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC) Hamptons hospitals contract to Nairobi based Robust limited.

The hospital has 9 departments currently open with more under construction. Robust limited is expected to complete the other of Hamptons hospital at MMTC by end of 2020.Currently the North Campus is a Covid-19 reference facility.
